Koami Art Festival has been taking place since 2022, featuring innovative exhibitions, lectures, and workshops that highlight the interplay between analog and digital art.
The theme for 2025 is "Human Quality", where we explore how we value creativity and authenticity in an era of AI and automation. Participating artists will create artworks based on the theme that coexist in both a physical and a digital version.
For the 2024 edition of the festival, we created a sculpture park that allowed visitors to experience virtual art in a physical space!
Ten artworks were placed around Ringön, a former island now an industrial area in the center of Gothenburg, Sweden.

What happens when art is digitized and the art market is automated? We created a virtual gallery as part of the Koami Art Festival, a two day festival exploring the digitalisation of the art industry on September 1st-2nd, 2023 and bringing together the academic and commercial world as well as local and international artists.
During the festival, visitors could experience live streamed talks, concerts and the exhibition digitally as well as interacting with the artworks and the micro-experiences built in the metaworld.
Created by Kokokaka using the Hiber3D Development Kit, a lightweight game engine built in C++ with a wide set of services, compatible across all major mobile, tablet, and desktop browsers, native apps, PCs, and consoles.
