European Citiverses Uniting for Inclusiveness is an EU co-funded initiative bringing together 12 partners across Europe around one shared ambition: to make cities more inclusive and accessible for everyone. The vision is simple to express, but challenging to build: give people the right information, in the right place, at the right time.
Digital accessibility is not a single app or dashboard. It is infrastructure, standards, sensors, data flows, interfaces, public services, transport, culture, and care – woven together like streets, utilities, and buildings. In many ways, it is like rebuilding the city virtually.
To make this possible, nearly every part of city life must be involved: planners, engineers, service providers, institutions, and communities. By building an AI-powered interface to city data, we can automate the process of finding the specific information each citizen needs and deliver it in a universal language everyone can understand.
The prototype includes a 3D digital twin where you can freely stroll and speak with virtual citizens who guide you through the city. Complete a quest to prepare, explore, and learn through play.
This is how we move from smart cities to truly inclusive cities, where technology quietly works in the background so every person can take part in urban life.
