WorkStudioContactWorkStudioContactErik Eger is a Director/Artist living in Gothenburg Sweden and San Sebastian Spain.
Eger studied art at The University of Humanity and El Universidad del Pais Vasco before focusing on film and continuing his studies at New York University, UCLA and MIT.
He opened his first solo art exhibition ”GUNART” in his hometown Gothenburg before moving to Brooklyn, exhibiting his work at underground art scenes like TheFamily and well known venues like Galapagos ArtSpace.
As a filmmaker he has written and directed experimental films; ”The Artist”, premiered at The Williamsburg Film Festival, awarded Best Short Film at the Hildesheim Film Festival. Experimental short ”Fat Ass” premiered at Berlin Film Festival. Feature film "God Willing” in competition at Chicago Film Festival, Karlo Vary Film Festival, Haugesund Film Festival among others and awarded The Kodak Visionary Award at Stockholm Film Festival. Experimental Feature ”One Hundred Years Of Evil” that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and was later acquired by Netflix.
Eger experimental films and art explores the space between perception and reality, truth and pretense as well as the subtext in the space between lines and objects.
